Budget Balancer is owned by Shared Potential Ltd. The app is designed as a local-first financial planning tool, which means your budget and forecast data is intended to stay on your device unless you choose to export or share it.
Data you enter
Budget Balancer lets you enter accounts, balances, income, bills, transfers, credit-card details, repayment assumptions, wealth items, calculator scenarios and imported statement data. This information is stored locally on your device using Apple platform storage.
Imports and exports
If you choose to import CSV, JSON or PDF statement files, Budget Balancer reads those files locally to help create or restore your planning data. Imported files are not uploaded by Budget Balancer.
If you choose to export or share a backup or CSV file, the file is created locally and shared only through Apple system share sheet or file picker actions that you control.
Widgets
Budget Balancer can publish a small credit-card planning snapshot to its widget through an Apple App Group container. Showing balances on widgets is off by default and can be changed in Settings.
Notifications
If you enable balance alerts, Budget Balancer schedules local notifications on your device. These alerts are calculated from your local forecast data. Budget Balancer does not send this information to a server.
Purchases
Budget Balancer Pro purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit and App Store Connect. Budget Balancer receives purchase entitlement information from Apple so it can unlock Pro features.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Budget Balancer does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs or tracking SDKs.
Data sharing
Budget Balancer does not sell your data and does not share your financial planning data with third parties.
Data deletion
You can delete app data by deleting records inside the app or deleting Budget Balancer from your device. You can also export your data before deleting the app.
Children
Budget Balancer is a general personal finance planning app and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new update date.
